Basics of point pattern analysis
13 February 2020
Point pattern data is very common and arises in many ecological and environmental studies. The points may represent the locations of birds, plant species or herds of animals amongst other things. In this talk Zaza looked at the basic tools for interrogating such data sets. These include methods for checking whether the observed point pattern data is random, methods for estimating the spatial intensity and tools for investigating inter-point relationships.
